Introducing the Action Engine

If you asked a friend where their member of Congress stood on Israel-Palestine, would they be able to answer? Probably not, and it's not because they don't care or aren't paying attention. It's because that information isn't easily accessible.

Now, for the first time, there's a tool that can give it to you in about five seconds. A New Policy is excited to present the Action Engine. This simple-to-use interface lets you see where all 535 members of the United States Congress stand on Israel-Palestine.

Start by finding your representatives in the Senate and House. The tool shows you which bills your member has co-sponsored that are good or bad on these issues, and which ones they haven't co-sponsored yet. More importantly, for every member of Congress we've provided three recommended next steps, based on where they stand today, that move them up the ladder toward where we all want them to be.

With a single click, the tool takes you to your member's contact form, where you can email them to add their name to a bill or remove it, showing that they're moving in the right direction. You'll also find the information to call your member's office in DC or back home, and the ability to share on social media where your member stands and encourage friends to look up their own.

Have a meeting coming up with a congressional office? Or just want a list of the asks to make of your member on Israel-Palestine? The tool generates a shareable, one-to-two-page PDF breaking down exactly where your member stands. It's the perfect thing to bring to a meeting so you can make specific asks on current legislation.

A co-sponsorship isn't just a name on a piece of paper. It's a promise, your member telling you they agree with what a bill does, even before it comes up for a vote. If they co-sponsor today in the 119th Congress, and their party controls the House and/or Senate in the 120th (which begins January 3rd, 2027), you'll have a bill your member has already signaled they support. When it's brought back up, they'll have no excuse not to co-sponsor it again and do everything in their power to bring it to the floor for a vote.

The Action Engine was developed in-house by A New Policy. It comes to you with no paywall, no email registration, and no data mining. To keep it growing, your donations and input will be key. The more we put into this movement, the faster the playing field will even out, and the more we can do to keep moving our members up the ladder, aligning our Middle East policy with American values and interests while laying the foundation for sustainable coexistence in Palestine and Israel on the basis of liberty, equality, and human rights.
