Salon: A Gaza doctor seeks to carry on a New Jersey progressive’s legacy

Salon profiles Adam Hamawy, a physician and US Army veteran running for the US House in New Jersey's 12th Congressional district. Hamawy, who has been endorsed by A New Policy PAC, "has gained an early edge with fundraising, volunteers and the support of Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., whose life he actually saved after her helicopter was shot down in Iraq in 2004," writes Salon's Russell Payne.
