GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
A New Policy is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support the Marketing team, reporting directly to the Marketing Director. This role is ideal for a student or emerging designer passionate about human rights, social impact, and design-driven storytelling. You will create visual materials that enhance A New Policy’s brand, strengthen our digital presence, and elevate our marketing campaigns. This is a highly visible internship with the opportunity to lead high-impact creative initiatives. Please note that this is an unpaid internship; applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit.
Location: Remote/Hybrid in DC
Position Type: Unpaid Summer Internship
Duration: 25 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, (June–August)

Assist in maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across platforms
Collaborate with internal teams to align social content with broader campaigns and initiatives
Monitor performance and help track engagement using social media analytics tools
Create and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn as needed
Support posting of rapid response Instagram content once finalized by the rapid response team as needed

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related field
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, but comfortable with creating templates in Canva
Strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills
Ability to turn policy-related or data-driven content into accessible, compelling visuals
Detail-oriented, creative, and able to work collaboratively within a marketing environment
Prior experience with digital or social media design is a plus
Candidates with insight into regional issues in the Middle East, including the Israel–Palestine are, especially encouraged to apply
